Policy On Commercial Advertisements

Hi everyone,

I wanted to update you all on how we will be handling commercial advertisements on this forum.

Members who run a business and wish to sell their products via our forum may only do so after purchasing the right to advertise their products or services on the forum. Our classified system is free to use for personal, non commercial solicitations.

What dictates a commercial posting will ultimately fall back to our staff here to make the final judgement call.

For those who wish to purchase the right to advertise your services on our forum, feel free to contact me for more details and I will be happy to give you options.

We have one option for those that wish to advertise their commercial business and is currently set up in a way that is completely automated.

Our For Sale / Trade forum here: http://www.orchidsforum.com/forums/for-trade-sale.14/ is free to use for non commercial members, as stated above. For those that wish to advertise their products in a commercial manner, you can now purchase a sticky thread in that forum.

Doing so is simple:

1. Create your thread advertising your product or service
2. Once created, you will see a "Sticky" link next to Thread Tools. Click this.
3. You will be prompted with the details of paying to promote your thread. Currently this is set at $20 for 30 days.
4. Once you confirm you will be taken to a checkout page where you agree to basic terms for the transaction.
5. After confirmation you will be taken to paypal to finalize your order.

Once finalized your thread will be automatically added as a sticky for 30 days. After 30 days your thread will still remain in the forum but will not longer be a sticky.
