    Hi All,
I was hoping that someone here could clarify something for me. Everytime I look through Ecuagenera's website, I really get grabbed by their photo of Pleurothallis stevensonii http://www.ecuagenera.com/epages/whitelabel4.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/ecuagenera/Products/PRS3027. In doing a search for the plant in the U.S., I find that J&L has the plant http://www.jlorchids.com/assets/images/pleurothallis_stevensonii_lrg.jpg. Unfortunately, while very nice, it doesn't do it for me.
Are there very distinct clonal variations or are these pictures of 2 closely related species? The lips look completely different.
    Thanks for any help.
    Chuck

That looks like more than clonal variation. I wouldn't think they are the same species, but it isn't one I grow. Ecuagenera is going to be in San Francisco in mid-September if you want to order it.

Thanks Marni. I'll see if Pepe can sell me a plant just like the one in the picture.

    Marni,
Is that at the Orchid Fest in the Park? I haven't gone to it before but I put it on my calendar. Just curious if it's worth the trip.
    Thanks.

Yes, Jon, it is now back to being named Orchids in the Park. It is a sale, not much in the way of exhibits. Each of the vendors puts in a few plants for a display in the center of the room. It is low key and fun. The vendors list is at http://www.orchidsanfrancisco.org/orchidsinthepark.html. There are also some interesting plants on the society sales table from members. It is Sept 12 & 14 from 10 am to 5 pm, $3 admission.

Jon, it has always been the first or second weekend of October, I don't know why they changed it.
