Pleurothallis glossopogon

    This is a large flowered Pleurothallis. The natural spread of this flower is 70mm or 2.5 inches both vertical and horizontal. When the dorsal sepal is unnaturally spread open, the vertical spread is close to 5 inches! The growths are 12 inches tall and the spikes are about 14" long. It is somewhat of a slow grower, but worth the wait. I've included a photo with the dorsal sepal bent back to reveal the lip detail.

    These flowers are fantastic. I really like the color and the shape is interesting too. I agree that they are worth waiting for.
