Pleione aurita

    This is a new species for me and one of the darker clones I've bloomed. I think I can stop looking for the 'ultimate' Pleione. This is 4" across, upright and fragrant.

    These did get the fridge treatment this year, but I will try one in just the cold house next year to see if it needs the extended cold.

    I left these outside and not in the fridge this year and had very little in the way of blooms. It is my favorite pleione.
