Platystele hirtzii

    A very nice Platystele with huge flowers for the genus. Several flowers on each stalk that comes in succession. Each flower last 1½ week.
    Found in Ecuador in mist forests at elevations of 2000 to 2700 meters

    I grow this intermediate and wter it evenly throughout the year. I never let it dry out completely.

    Gorgeous one Mikael! I grow it also, quite well, but haven't managed to get the buds to completion up to now. they always drop at an early stage.
