For all you folks who like to drag their feet you better think twice. The plants you can get from the members here are top notch. For example on one of the Bulbophyllum that Neyra got for me she just got an award. That is right. Cause that is how we roll on OI. believe that.

So, did it have a clone name when you sent it to her or do you get to pick one now?

She asked me if I wanted to name it, I passed and told her she could pick a name.

Thank YOU Forrest. The plant is the Bulbophyllum levanae that Forrest had for sale not too long ago. The plant won a 78 point HCC the plant becoming Bulbophyllum levanae 'Adonisa' HCC/SOCAN. It also won trophies forthe best Miscellaneous Genera and Best Species Overall in the Show. I don't take credit for any of the blooms as the plant was in spike when Forrest sent it to me. My only regret is that the show wasn't the week before, because the plant had about twice the number of spikes it had when it was judged. All the same it is an awesome plant. Thanks to all for the congrats and pictures will be posted tomorrow.

I look forward to your photos, Neyra.

Forrest's plants are even better when you get cookies in the box. That B. cornatum I got from him is throwing it's third flower.

Why do people say a plant is 'throwing' a flower?

I wasn't questioning your terminology, Mr Fussy Drawers, I was asking a simple question. I would think that simple questions would be your forte'.

So why do you say 'throwing' a flower? Do they drop off before they bloom? :)
It's not like a horse throwing a shoe, ya know.

It's a term I learned from my father. He was a graduate of Ohio State.
