Has anyone used it recently? I'm only thinking about using it on one plant that I desperately want to save. I feel like we're runnin out of other options. We've removed the pbulbs that were affected sprayed with the aspirin mix added cinnamon to the wound. Now I think I might just spray it with this stuff. I would hate to lose this bulbo any other suggestions? By the way the problem with the plant is that one pbulb just turns black then another and another... I can't seem to stop it.

I don't use Phyton 27 very often, but it has worked well for me when I have. A couple of years ago I used it on a big specimen Phal gigantea that I was afraid I would lose and it worked well. And I just used some on the Angcm Veitchii that I was worried about (and posted pics of). The gigantea has thrived and overcame its nasty funk and the Veitchii has stopped losing leaves. There are certainly other factors in play, but both plants were just fine and it helped to solve the problem.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Do you recall using it at the recommended dose or did you dilute it to a weaker solution?

    Zach,

Phyton 27 is a copper sulfate solution that is a systemic fungicide and mild bactericide. Depending on the plant, it can also be an effective herbicide. Don't think bulbos are on that "sensitive" list, but be very careful.

Thanks Ray, I'm going to try it tonight, hopefully the herbicidal effects don't kick in.

Zack, did you end up using the Phyton and did it work?

No, I never ended up using it. I actually tried the aspirin water method and the infection stopped. I would have used the phyton if the aspirin dip wouldn't have worked. The plant has actually started to put out new growths!
