    I've been waiting patiently for this one to bloom. The second bud on the stem got caught up in the bract above it and was twisted off before I got to it. They grow so fast at this stage and I missed the chance to save the bud by a couple hours. Oh well...only three flowers instead of four. It has two almost mature growths on it so I'll getthe chance for a good blooming again soon.

    Very beautiful, I am sorry for that flower but 3 are not few;
    This beautiful sample is representative of the charm of our Cypripedium American cousins ,
    Unfortunately, this hybrid in particular is too large to be cultivated in my house, I've space for Phrg. bessae, bessae flava and bessae x schlimii, that are smaller in size and less demanding in terms of light!!!
