I purchased this plant from Ecuagenera this past year at Redlands and am very happy with it. It has thrown out 4-5 new growths since May and produced a bloom.

This species is found in Panama in warmer conditions per IOSPE, but it seems to do pretty well in cool/intermediate conditions for me. The long inflorescence (about 4 inches) arises near the apex of the ramicaul holding a single, large flower which does not fully open and points downward.
