I grow this with 50F minimum winter, occassional misting, and rather shady. Lots of water in the summer.

Very nicely bloomed, Marni. I only have three blooms this year and was hoping for
a little more. Perhaps I'm growing it too warm. Your plant certainly has a much
better presentation of blooms than mine.

I also grow this species at 56F, but this is the best blooming so far. Baker shows it as winter nights 47-57. I was out of town for a few days in mid-March and had a new person watering. She watered the heaters in two greenhouses and put out the pilot lights. The min-max thermometer showed 32F in this greenhouse. Didn't seem to bother the plant at all, but it was dry at the time.

If I get a forecast low of 32+ next March, there are a lot of plants that are gonna be sitting outside in the dry cold that night...

Gorgeous! I just acquired a nice big plant. Hopefully I can keep it happy!
