    What an amazing flower! It reminds me of a phalaenopsis taking a bit out of the top of a rodriguezia.

    Yes they can, but these spikes are all new spikes.

    Wow Gilles -- I haven't ever seen a plant of this species with so many flower spikes. How old is the plant? Any special culture?

    I think it must be 7 or 8 years old.
    In fact nothing special, 70% rock wool and 30% clay pebbles!!
