This is a wide ranging Phaius species from Asia, it adapts to a wide range of growing conditions. It prefers shady and humid. It grows quite tall, and the sequentially produced flowers aren't all that big. Another plant that the slugs seek out and love :(. I really like the contrasting yellow spur with the richly pink flowers. This is currently growing in a one gallon pot.

It is a beautiful color. Does it open more?

No, that is all that my clone opens. I've seen others that open a bit wider.
