    I finally decided to take care of something other than my dogs and join the world again. Went to the local orchid society show this weekend looking for a phaius and this one followed me home. Also rejoined. life goes on. :)

    I hear in Florida you can grow them right in the ground as a garden plant. In the summer I grow mine sitting in a couple inches of water. My favorite is super fragrant with creamy pale greenish petals and a solid dark magenta lip, called Microburst "Octoberfest"...yum:p

    That's on my long list, Kitty. I know about growing them in the ground here but I think I'll stick with pots.
