    Hey folks,

Has anybody else placed an order with Peruflora recently? I did (the deadline was March 8th) and they sent me an invoice right way which I paid. After I paid the communication has stopped. Tried to email them several times the last three weeks to no response. Like, does anybody have an idea when were they planning to import??
    Thanks.

I am still waiting for an order from last spring! Couldn't send it to Europe because of covid and I had to be patient No answer to mails but paid more than 400 USD!

Well, I paid with a credit card so I'm not worried much, I could always get my funds back. However, I need the plants!

I hope you both get the plants.

I called Peruflora a few years back when they stopped responding to my emails. It took care of the issues.

Willing to look into signing up for their newsletter for import dates.

As soon as I emailed them yesterday saying that I'm about to open a PayPal claim, they responded within three hours. Sad, that this is the only way to do business with them.

Well, they got the nerve to send me a new catalogue when I am still waiting for the order I paid for in 2020 (412 USD!). Of course no respond to the mails I am sending. So frustrating!

Sorry, you are dealing with this! My last experience with them a year ago was pretty unpleasant. I ordered several Lycaste plants and they all arrived infected with a virus. Every single one. I know for sure because I test all newly purchased plants of this genus with Agdia test kits. The plants were destroyed the same day. When I emailed the company showing the proof of my test strips they said that "they've never had virused plants in their collection and they are not willing to refund me". I was surprised because I buy a lot of Lycastes and every single vendor prior to Peruflora would not have any problems with giving a refund if their plants arrived infected (Colombian Orchid Imports, Ecuagenera, Orquideas Amazonicas, etc). I was able to get my money back after I threatened them with a PayPal claim.

And did they give you an update on their expected import date? I passed an order too (to be delivered in Europe via Germany), got a confirmation & invitation to pay 3 weeks ago. before paying , I had a few more questions to ask, so I sent another e-mail. then another two, at one week interval. No more reactions. Glad I have not yet paid, such a poor customer care! I think I'll wait till they come back to some EU orchid show, and preorder for pick up at the booth.

I’ve had really good luck in the past with preorders, but I always picked up at a show…and did not pay ahead. Is Manolo still running things…it’s been several years since I last ordered?

Yesterday I got an email with price lists for pre-orders for Tamiami and a note that, "Today is the last day to order." I placed a small order and will see what happens.

I ordered 2 plants at the end of December, before Tamiami was postponed. I was promised shipment after the newly scheduled Tamiami show. After several emails, I finally got a response from Manolo, apparently they were having trouble finding the plants... said that my plants were accidentally included in somebody else's order (so they got free plants) Multiple additional emails.. only after threatening to open claim with PayPal did I finally get my refund. I will never order from them again except for pickup at a show and no pre-payment.

Roberta, Last week Manolo mentioned that he will be at Orchids in the Park in late July in San Francisco. Maybe we will see each other there.

I may be tempted to make the drive, having missed POE. They have some interesting plants, and a really poor business model.

Write to the SFOS and tell them that you want to see a vendor list. They should have a list by now.
