Pecteilis sagarikii

    A very close relative to Habenarias. I've only had this since last winter when I got it as a dormant tuber. Culture is basically the same as for most tropical Habenaria species. Plenty of water when in growth, very dry when dormant.

    I'm told that P. sagarikii is more cranky about dormancy than Habenarias, so I guess I'll find out this winter.

    The entire plant is about 6" tall.

    I got it from Popow, but I don't think it is that difficult to get from US vendors.

    That is really nice. The white/bright yellow contrast really makes the flowers stand out. I'll have to look for this one...

    This has done as well as my Habenarias have. The one tuber I got last year grew two new tubers. However the pot is more crowded than I thought it would be because one of the tubers put out two whorls of leaves. So two tubers, but 3 spikes.
