First bloom seedling, and I'm very pleased. I knew the parents were colorful, so I was pretty hopeful there, and it turned out pretty well. Could use some more spots on the dorsal, but I think that's a minor complaint. The flower is about 3¾" tall.

Aside from the parents, I chose this seedling based on the growth habit. Even amongst seedlings from the same cross, same batch, growing in the same conditions, there was quite a bit of variation in growth habit. Some had long leaves that arched downwards, others short leaves, others in between. This one had an upright, V-shaped growth habit I really liked, and it has maintained that shape after I got it.

Medium light, intermediate, moist summers, drier winters.
