Paphiopedilum fairrieanum

    The flower measures approximately 9 inches tall and even though I really love the color combination, it is the shape I really get off on. It's a pretty small tuft growing species from the Indian Himalayas and Bhutan, where it grows at 1300-2200 meters. I grow it intermediate under medium light planted in a mixture of bark, coconut and volcanic rock, keeping it evenly moist.

    Thanks Don! Glad you like it! Not very many chances to get plants judged here in Sweden, but I will enjoy it all the same. :)

    That's very nice, but I have to ask, 9 inches or 9 cm? 9 inches would be unbelieveable, great photos as usual!
