Paph. venustum album

I purchased this plant and several sibs as a compot years ago from Antec. It's a good grower and blooms each fall. Overall, the compot was quite uniform. This seems to be "venustum season" for me. All of mine are in bud right now, tipo and album alike. For a while, it was actually easier to find the album/alba varieties as opposed to the standard color forms. Lately, it seems that both are readily available. It's an adaptable, fun species. Who can resist that brain-like pouch and hairy petals?
