This is Paph Bel Royal 'Pam's Pride'. (rothschildianum x kolopakingii) I got a division from a good friend a couple years ago. He was given the plant by a friend (Pam)...she knew my friend had admired the plant and would give it a great home. This is the first blooming for me and I am honoured to have a piece of such a beautiful primary. Leaf span on this plant is 44" and the NS of the flower so far is 6". I expect it to expand a bit more in the next day or two.

If I remember correctly, you do paphs so well! Am I trying to grow them too hot here in South Florida? They just don't flourish for me at all. Yours are gorgeous.

Dang. That thing commands a big piece of real estate, doesn't it? It's gorgeous, Wendy. You do these so nicely.

You got that right MJ and remember Wendy grows in the basement. I grow in a greenhouse and still find looking for a place to put almost 4-foot wide plants a work of art in gardening.

Thanks all. Here's a photo, taken yesterday of my grow room. This big boy is on the left side alongside a big kolopakingii. It's tricky fitting all these big multis in an 8' x 8' room but where there's a will there's a way. :D

Clark...notice the two roths that are starting to open? I'll post those soon.

    So very nice, Wendy.

I still have about 50 Paphs in my collection and I really need to repot them again soon. Just curious, under your growing condition, how often do you repot your Paphs and what kind of mix do you use, Wendy?

Wonderful! I recently purchased one of these guys from Krull-Smith. It's got a long way to go to become the size of your plant! :)
