Been growing orchids for about a decade. Like miniatures and odd botanical species. Specialize in Oberonia and Hippeophyllum. Hold an appointment as "Visiting Research Scholar" with the Huntington Botanical Garden. Occasionally consult for AOS SIT on Oberonia IDs, and am a member of AOS Research and Conservation committee.

Doing research into Oberonia biodiversity and systematics, using a lot of light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for that. My day-job is curator of malacology (mollusks) at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, where I also run the SEM facility.

Botanical publications and talks are listed under
    http://www.vetigastropoda.com/orchids/index.html
    though needs an update.

Welcome to the Forum and I hope you stay as a regular contributor. I have an Oberonia sp. I will post and see if you can tell me what it is. ;)

Will gladly have a look at your plant. Close-ups of the flower will make the difference.
