    My name is Ron and I live in Arlington Hts, IL. My screen name is Guns N' Orchids because they are both my hobbies, along with photography and the study of dogs and wolves. I love capturing the sensual beauty of orchids with my Nikon D300, but am totally at a loss when it comes to maintaining or recording anything but the very basic scientific group names. When I post some of my work any help naming the subject will be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome, Ron! We'd love to see your photos and I'm sure folks here could help you ID some things, though hybrids in groups like Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, and Oncidium are usually impossible to ID by sight.

    Interesting that you're into both guns and orchids, my Dad also collects those things. Not the most common combo of collection hobbies, I think... :)
