Hello! I am an orchid lover from Michigan and I have a few phalaenopsis orchid plants. I recently repotted them as they were not doing well in the pots they came in. One is now on it's second bloom, with a new spike with buds. They are both showing wrinkly, soft leaves. The root systems appear to be healthy, and do not have a foul odor. they are potted in a bark mixture. I gave them a 10 minute soak in water yesterday. Just wanting to make sure I am doing all correctly for them. Any help is very appreciated.

    First, Welcome!
I suspect that they are underwatered. That fresh large bark is great for drainage and air in the root zone, but it dries out quickly. That's great. But it does mean that they need to be watered more often. The old medium stayed soggy, and watering once a week was plenty. Now, they need to be watered every 3 days or so (more often if the house is very dry). Instead of soaking, consider watering so that it flows out of the pot (putting under the faucet works well) Frequent watering with flowing water is better than occasional soaking. Chances are that with more watering, the leaves won't firm up, but new leaves will be much better when they emerge.
