I am new to this forum and have been growing orchids for a little over a year now. I am especially fascinated/obsessed with bulbophyllum in particular. Currently have bulbophyllum laxiflorum, bulbophyllum elizabeth ann and a bulbophyllum spc. which is sending out a spike. Hopefully it can be identified once it it blooms. Exited to learn from what is shared here.

Welcome. This is the best forum around. Lots of info everyday.
    I also favor Bulbos.
My fav would be rothschildianum and least echinochilum(only because it smells like rotten meat) Its flower is actually stunning. At the moment palawanense is in flower in the GH that I work in...its really more like play.
I have a small collection at home under lights. Best of luck.
Hope you learn and grow beyond your expectations.

I'm a gardner by avocation. Always liked to putz around with plants. Presently I have around 400 orchids and more bromeliads of various genia. I like to landscape my place but with orchids that is a bit of a problem as we do get an occasional freeze here about 20 miles away from the gulf coast. I wrap what I can and leave the rest as they are but I also have a greenhouse where I keep the most tender tropicals including most orchids during the winter months. Reason I'm here is because I just got my but off the ground and divided and repotted all of my orchids. That's partially why I have so many. I had 400 but many died from neglect, black rot and who knows what. I haven't repotted since 2008 but promise to do better in the future. The repotted plants are happy and growing like crazy. I found this forum via FB somehow.
