Hello everyone! I only came across this forum recently and was happy to recognize several admirable orchid growers I know from Flickr, and also I found the threads I've browsed through so far highly interesting and helpful. So here I am :) I mostly grow monopodial orchids and/or minis, such as Phalaenopsis, Aerangis, a variety of small Asian monopods and some Pleurothallidinae, which I cultivate on window sills or in small aquariums. If space was not an issue I could think of a few more genera I'd love to grow.

Welcome to OI. No matter how much space you have, seems that it is always not enough.;) That sounds like a nice mix you grow. Look forward to seeing what you bloom.

Thanks! You are so right, Marni! It's lucky that my orchid preferences go well with space limitations.
Thanks, Calvin! The Phal. Alyos is a first-time bloomer and I loooove it!

Thanks for the kind welcome! I feel there's still a lot of room for improvement and lots to learn, which is one of the reasons I joined this forum.

Welcome! Glad to have you here.

My sister's name is Heika -- long story, but suffice it to say she is the only person I have ever met with that name in the U.S. at least. I am glad to meet another.

    Thanks, Reyna!
I can imagine that's an unusual name in the US. It's not so rare in Germany (though in the spelling with e in the end), and we also have the name Heiko for guys ;)
