I've tried the product sold by First Rays and I wasn't impressed with the results. But I see well grown plants from some OI members and would like to know if it is the product or my growing conditions.

I have tried some similar material sold as pond filters. It seems to work OK but it does not hold water like tree fern does. I'm doing larger scale experiments with it in my greenhouse now so we shall see. I would like to try EPIWEB but back when it was introduced I attempted to get samples to try out since I was selling epiphytes at the time. It was promised but never delivered so I gave up on it.

The diameter of enclosure (acrylic) is 27 cm.

I grow most of my plants on or in Epiweb and I like it. Since I have mostly draculas and masdevallias I need to water them daily. First time I tried it everything died. The plants dried up to fast. One has to experiment with what works for the growingarea. I grow in vivariums.

I agree. I'm having a friend make some cylinders and I'm working on an enclosure so I would love to see your progress.
