I thought I'd post my area photos since Jon and Forrest's photos gave me motivation. I love seeing people's set-up and growing areas.

It's dreary and cold so I've not watered in quite some time or done any maintenance of any kind. Also twin #2 is sitting there until it warms up a bit.

Anyway, here's a photo of the twins. Aren't they cute? They're fraternal, not identical. Our raised, rock walls for garden beds separate them.

The second photo is looking through the front door. The 3rd photo is from the back door looking towards the front door. And the last photo is a good example why I need more room. I can barely fit down the two aisles now and I'm a small gal.

Not too much inside the g.h. in bloom as I bring them in and scatter them around the house.

Well, the greenhouses are very nice and all, but I gotta admit that with that topic I was hoping for something different. :D

I'll be listing some plants here for auction/fundraiser for the forum when the shipping weather improves. So, keep an eye out.

The nodosa is huge. It has to weigh 40 pounds, easy. I haven't moved it in 8 years. It's never bloomed as nice as it's first blooming when I received it about 10 years ago. It was COVERED in flowers. It was a very large plant to start with 10 years ago. A member in my local OS passed away and left his plants to benefit the society. His g.h. had gone either unheated or barely heated for most of the winter. So, the plant got a very prolonged chilling and probably a dry rest. It doesn't get that with me. If I were able to lift it, I'd maybe move it outside in the winter under the patio cover. But, since I can't move it I'll have to live with its yearly, winter bloom of maybe 30 flowers.

I see plenty of space for a third GH.

Thanks for sharing, Candace. I always enjoy seeing others' grow areas.

Nice look :) In Siberia unfortunately greenhouses in very expensive pleasure. Usual winter temperature is about -30C and very often -46C.

What I really wow about is how nicely you have landscaped around the ghs and I am glad you didn't put both ghs side by side just for the convenience. Nicely done!

Thanks guys. And Tom, I probably would have put them side by side if I could have. Just out of ease of use. But, on the side not pictured on my current g.h. we have some kiwis, grapes and raspberry plants and hubby was sort of throwing a fit about losing them. The spot where I did site it was where we had the kids swing set when they were younger, then an inflatable pool. So, there was electric run out there for the pump to the pool. They outgrew that too and I claimed the spot.

I think the landscaping and greenhouse placement is perfect. It doesn't look like a
commercial establishment, but a home with interesting people living there.
