I also started with a few plants on a windowsill. I quickly moved to a mixture of windowsills and lights. Once I bought a basement with attached house, my artificial light areas started expanding. I still don't have a greenhouse, and probably never will.

I think that's the way all of us started. Mine was in a north facing window on a few boards. Looks good.

Just like Kelly, Carl, and John, that is how I began my own journey this time. Back in the day, 76 - 78, I took ornamental greenhouse and propagation in high school. A vocational school. This issue that I am dealing with now has reignited my passion. Thank you to my father for teaching me the aspects of creativity and ingenuity!!!!! He was and is an engineer by trade and heart in his nineties now. Sorry, leaking on my phone right now got to go. Forgive me

My first one was on a chest of drawers in a bathroom next to an east facing window. Then shelves and tables in a little cottage with skylights, then out on a deck of an out building. When my landlord refused to let me put up a small greenhouse I decided it was time to buy a house where I could do what I wanted. I've been doing what I wanted every since.

Shelves and window sills for me. I'm at my orchid care threshold so no dreams of greenhouses.
