I can only speak to the species, but pretty much every one that I have mounted does quite well. I have them on cork, manzanita, Epiweb©, and tree fern.

The only phal I have mounted is lobbi and it is doing great on the piece of tree fern. As a matter of it is setting spikes for the first time ever :D

All of them do great - IF you can provide the humidity and watering frequency that such a culture method requires.
