I have never grown a Cymbidium but am interested in trying a miniature, warm growing Cymbidium. Looking on the internet it seems that sinensis, dayanum and tortisepalum may be in this category. I am interested in opinions on those three and others that may be recommended.

BTW, when I say miniature I would hope that the plant would stay 12 inches or less.

I have found that sinense , ensifolium, and kanran are all very easy to grow, especially in semi-hydroponics (I used to import about 500 a month, and that was the easiest way to pot them up), but many of them can top out with leaves 18" or more. I have no experience with tortisepalum, but the dayanums I've had in the past varied from 9" tall to about 18".

Kelly -From a size standpoint I recommend "goeringii" ,leaves are about 10".Still not able to vouch for the culture.

Nope. I suggest you wait ... In any case I think you'd better wait to
order next year from Matt (Ten Shin) as his US season will be over soon.
