This wonderful leafless angraecoid orchid is native to Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique and Zimbabwe where it grows as an epiphyte on twigs and branches between 1000-2300m elevation.

I grow this species in bright light near the roof of my cool house. It gets water daily year-round. The temperature ranges from 10-29°C and the humidity is kept at 80%. I find it to be a vigorous, carefree grower.

My plant is the clone called 'Cathy Fenwick's Medusa'; I wonder if there is only one clone in the US or if there are multiple clones. Please tell us if you have a different clone as it would be great to get this species into flask someday.

Put some pollen away, Im pretty positive the ones we have aren't from the same clone.

Great! I will store some pollen this weekend.

Do post photos when yours bloom, it would be interesting to see what the flowers look like.
