This plant was purchased 2.5 years ago from Woodland Orchids. it is grown in sphagnum moss with some sponge rock. Kept moist with bright light.

Love Maxillaria's. Is it also aromatic?

It is not aromatic to my senses.

    nice one Clark.

I thought I recalled mine being fragrant. I will have to check on that tomorrow.

Nice one, Clark. How big are the flowers on that one? I have two clones of this species, both yellow, and one has 1" flowers. The other has 1cm flowers. I prefer the larger one, but it isn't doing very well...

Regarding fragrance, I have Max variabilis, both the yellow and red varieties. The yellow one has a strong scent sort of like cedar wood and caramel. Very nice! The red one is fragrant too, but not as strong. I guess it's a trade-off between fragrance and color.
