I got the book "Masdevallias Gems of the Orchid World" for Christmas. Written by Mary E. Gerritsen with photos from Ron Parsons. Great book, it is scholarly while still being enjoyable. For anyone interested in the genus, i would highly recommend it.

I agree! I have it since quite a while and still enjoy it a lot.

I also recently acquired it, I have really enjoyed it. The fact that I lists them be their growing temperatures is very useful. I want to add a couple to my collection and that lets me pick ones that will hopefully like my conditions.

Two very good people. Mary's greenhouse lives up to expectation of micro or miniature Pleuros.

I'm jealous, I would love to see it one day. I would bet it would be quite the experience.

This book has lots of nice photos (as expected), and I like it, too. When I started to try Masdevallia, I thought that another good book to learn about their culture was Rhodehamel's "A Masdevallia Cultural Guide". Zelenki's "Orchids: Masdevallia with its segregates including Dracula" has lots of photos (well, actually it is basically only photos of many species), so it is a fun book to look at.
