Masdevallia oreas is a plant with elegant flowers and comes from Bolivia. There it grows at an altitude of 2000m to 2200m. Therefore it is cultivated in a cool to moderate climate. I received it from an orchid friend at the end of April and it has been hanging outside since mid-May. The flowers had already developed when I got the plant. So it is not my doing. The plant belongs to the subsection Polyanthae. Plants from this subsection develop two or more flowers on the same peduncle. Sometimes at the same time and sometimes one after the other.
