This is the first blooming of a lycaste hybrid I made. It had been made some years earlier and had already been named. It is a cross between Lycaste macrophylla and Lycaste powellii. It is darker than either and intermediate in size between the two parents. I've bloomed a few more in the last week and they seem pretty uniform. The first two images are the hybrid and the last two are the parents.

I've just bloomed this first bloom seedling with 10 flowers in a 4" pot.
