    This is a taxonomically interesting group, Liparis and Malaxis are in a tribe that is a sister group to the dendrobium tribe (which contains dendrobium and bulbophyllum) interestingly. The genera include temperate, terrestrial plants like the adder's mouth (a name referring ti multiple species in the genus), at least one is native to just south of my area (below the fall line of the piedmont to the costal plane) and tropical epiphytes with pseudobulbs.

    *Note that i don't remember the exact clade names when I refer to botanical tribes/groups.
    **I have no idea how current this is.

    Thanks Jaime, good to know. This is the only liparis common here. Can find it easily grow on trees around
