Nothing wrong with arguing, as long as it's accompanied by listening, and you've done that.

It's one of the better ways to learn things. I'll argue a point with my profs until I understand what they are telling me. It works well, both for me, and for the rest of the class listening in...

I agree with Carl, you didn't do anything wrong, Tong. So you don't need to apologize. It makes me wonder if people may have looked at my post as arrogant or something (once I got kicked out from a Carnivorous plant forum when I pointed out myths of LEDs even though I don't think I was attacking anyone). If so, I'm sorry. I just wanted to share what I have learned in scientific literatures. Some people (e.g. the current republican administration lead by a Dumb Tard) try to paint science as something evil simply because they don't understand them. A lot of scientific fields are specialized, and it is not easy to understand. This is partly a fault of scientists who haven't spent enough time to do out-reach. But if you keep a healthy attitude that learning is a life-long affair, you'll get a lot out of scientific knowledge. I'm a biologist (evolutionary genetics), but I'm not an expert in plant physiology (and photo-biology). So I'm still gradually learning about his topic.

I used to grow orchids under lights for 10 years and started using this company... Rapidled . They are for aquariums and bright enough for coral. I found that my plants grew very well under them and still have a few orchidariums with these lights. I used the cool white ones . I solder them myself, it's cheaper. But for a little more you can get connecting pieces.

Remember you will still need the heatsink to place the little LEDs on. They sell them as well.
