It looks like a squid or cuttlefish to me with the petals and sepals like tentacles. Very pretty, and unique.
Lovely. I tried both a selfing (early May) and an outcross (early June) on my plant this year. The selfing took and has held, but the outcross didn't take at all. I'll take what I can get.
I've been trying to bloom this for ages. Anything special?
I give mine shade and when it is possible, cool temperature!!
