    Hi Everyone,

This little plant started growing on the root of my bigger orchid. Does anybody know if this is a Keiki? If so, did it just randomly sprout off the root of the plant? The patterning on the leaves is modeled and the parent does not have this. Would this have been some sort of a hybrid seed that just got stuck in the medium? I've included pictures of the little baby with the model leaves and the parent leaves and flower for reference. I'll be curious what you all think!

    Thanks Jenny

That's definitely not an orchid let alone part of the sake plant lol. It's commonly called silver squill (had to google the latin name. Ledebouria sp. Probably socialis) it's a fairly common house plant it grows like a succulent you can just gently pull it out pot it up and grow it about like a Christmas cactus (that's how I have mine anyway and it does well).
Also, the media looks pretty old especially if it's growing terrestrial plants try repotting it there's plenty of threads on this forum full of knowledge of which media suits your needs best.

That makes more sense. I had one of those hanging above this and it flowered this summer in the seeds fell into the pot. I think one of them just took root. Thanks!
