I recently acquired this mini bulbo species. It has what appears to be some sort of growth activity along the rhizome. My question to you... is it a new lead or a spike? I've never seen a new lead form on the middle of a rhizome before, but it doesn't look very spikey.

    Curious!

Do you know what the species is, and from where the spikes are supposed to emerge?

It's a mega hyper rare PNG bulbo species.

And just so that it's known... the picture was taken with my POS camera. Gawd I hate that thing.

Based on my research, that is a spike for sure. 100%.

It's a new growth. And I have seen one other bulbo species make growths like this.

You can't rush these things, MJ. They do what they do. I'll make sure you're the first to know which one it is, though.
