I have no color preference. I use to, but have learned to appreciate most all colors.

Thanks John and John. I won't be able to make the show at Neenah this weekend, but I would love to look into getting to the WOS Auction. I will definitely let everyone know when the weather breaks here. I can also promise to pay the kindness forward. You guys are all awesome.

Well I started the cleanup today. Most are a total loss. Managed to find a few growths here and there that may make it. Hoping that the hoyas grow there leaves back. The smell is bad. The cactus survived but most of the succulents are pretty mushy. Left some for a few more days to see if they turn to total mush or if there might be a little life left in their rhizomes. Life will go on.

Out of around 120 orchids I have 16 with signs of life. These have some viable looking green. All of my catts have been reduced to pots full of roots with no growths showing. I am hoping that there may be some life left in the rhizomes. A small piece of my jade may make it, 2 or 3 succulents look viable, 1 of my christmas cacti made it, 3 actual cacti made it, all of the leaves on all of the hoyas are goners but I am hoping that maybe there is some life left in the vines.

Good news is that it is going to be around 50 next week. That means that spring is getting closer and I will be able to start the garden plants. And hey, I will have plenty of room in the greenhouse for the starter trays!

Well we still have not seen anything of Bentley. However, we have seen a juvenile eagle flying low over the yard lately so I am resigning myself to probably never finding him again.

On a lighter note, We had a spell of warm weather and the hubby got one flower bed and the garden tilled. Then we got 10 inches of snow the next day. So he tilled that into the ground to get the nitrogen benefit of it. Also the garden plants have sprouted and are doing well.

On an even better note, a fellow forum member on another forum sent me a box with 10 plants in it. Even sent one that was in bud. That makes the greenhouse look like less of a graveyard!

We have pretty much decided that our Bentley will not be coming home. He will always be welcome back just in case, but I just don't think we will be seeing him.

On a lighter note, the weather is greatly improving and shipping is finally possible.

One plant I would like to get ahold of that is not an orchid, is another staghorn fern. Mine came from a fellow forum member that is no longer around. He told me that they were always popping up all over the place so I thought I would see if anyone might be overrun by babies that they would like to pass along?

Hi Daethen, I'm sorry to hear about your dog, but glad your weather is warming. I have several babies of different plants I can send. Do you like Toad lilies and walking iris? I have a phalaenopsis for you too. Send your address and I will get a package together. :)

John, I have to give you a double thank you. A huge group of bulbos arrived today for me and a big thank you from my daughter who was ecstatic with the package you sent her. She rarely gets mail and was so very excited!

Ok, I just felt the need to take a minute and let you all know that plant people are the best. Thanks to all of you my shelves are over half full again. I feel so blessed to be a part of the forums that I belong to. You have all been so very generous. I can't believe that there are almost no doubles and almost everything is new to me. I want you all to take a minute and realize you have made my days brighter. Love you all!!!
