My husband purchased a new orchid for me for valentines day and it is an intergeneric orchid. The leaves look like my walking iris and the flower buds are green with purple spots. I don't know how to take care of it. The first orchid I got was a phalaenopsis and was in bloom when I bought it. It is now blooming again from the same stem it bloomed from last year and I am so pleased. Can someone help me with the intergeneric orchid. Thank you. Bonnie

Bonnie, are the flowers on your new orchid scented?

That's what I'm assuming, vmijct. Walking Iris leaves look very much like some oncidiums. With the green/purple description, I was wondering if it isn't a Zygo hybrid or something similar. Hence the scent question.
The guy we need here is Clark. He's the Oncidium alliance Queen.
