    Hey everyone!

My name is Jordan, and i live in that beautiful place we all know as New Zealand. A bit about myself: I am 17 years old, and i have around 400 orchids in total. Unlike many people in my local Orchid Society, i grow a whole mish-mash of different genera and i consistantly go for the weird and wonderful! The favorite in my collection at the moment would have to be my Rhyncolaelia digbyana var fimbripetala, although it isnt flowering at the moment, it flowered en mass last year with 4 of its growths producing multiple, crystaline blooms! I have specialised myself on NZ natives, as my Avatar suggests, being the beautiufl Winika cunninghamii (Silly aussies want to call it Dendrobium...and Kew has listened! pah!) or the proper Ladies Slipper Orchid, as it ALWAYS flowers in pairs, and the buds look like little plush slippers :) It is the only member of its genus and LOVES to grow on trees hanging over streams where it is nice and humid. I have around 25 of the 160-odd NZ native species, including some intergenerics concerning the Winika.

I am also the youngest member to my knowledge, in the NZOS, being a member of the Waikato branch. I am also the youngest ever to out-perform a 50yo veteran in an ID contest, and i am the youngest ever in NZOS history to be appointed to a Committee position. Young blood never hurts!

I am a member of a few online forums to be honest, but it is always nice to join a new one and broaden the horizons!

Anyways, thats about all! I shall look forward to sharing my orchids and seeing all of yours on the forum!

    Thanks everyone :)

Yep, see my profile pic? That is it in flower! I dont have any other pics of the plant in flower as i dont have one, the plants are not at all easy to maintain in cultivation, or flower at least :)
