Has anyone tried either holly or azalea branches as mounts for small species? I've found rhododendron to be pretty durable, and so would expect azalea to be the same. Don't know about holly.

I ask because when I prune the various overgrown bushes, I get a good supply of branches that are perfect for smaller growing species.

I intend to try each, but am curious as to what others have tried.

    Hi Carl,

Haven't used them but mount a lot of my plants on Mountain Laurel and that lasts a long time and the plants really seem to like rootting to it.
