Hi Everyone!

I started to take care of some orchids a few days after Hurricane Maria passed over Puerto Rico. Didn't had water neither electricity at my place so I was staying with some friends at a farm in the meantime. While cleaning the surroundings we found orchids on the ground, between the fallen trees, some in pots, others with bare roots. Nothing I knew about orchids at that time, so I used my instinct and did my best. After three years and a few mistakes (dead orchids) I confess to be an orchid-addict. The dendrobium you see in this photo is attached to a palm three at the front of the house. It received the direct attack from Maria's 150+ miles per hour furious winds, and...she survived. I call her my Warrior Orchid and she always has flowers. I hope to make many friends through this forum. Wish you many happy orchids in your gardens. With warm regards, Iris
