Hello enthusiast looking for help with orchid

    Hello everyone, my name is Alex and I am in Florida. I have a cattleya orchid that was gifted to me and although I am more into fruit trees, I have been enjoying the flowers. However, I have noticed some browning and yellowing at the top of the pseudobulb which had me doing some research. Good thing I did because I believe the plant needs to be reported and the roots cleaned up. I am wondering if anyone would have any suggestions on what I should do with the pseudobulb that is browning should I cut it with sterile shears above the node or just leave it be?
    Thank you for any advice, I have added a picture of the plant and it’s issue.
