Happy New Years (Eve)

I'm psyched I tell ya. What you folks doing for New Years Eve? I just found out that they are delivering the rest of the ceramic floor stuff for my 5 hurricane damaged room floors AND, cause I was sorta miffed that the delivery charges changed from $35 to $65, they are also bringing, big drum roll here, oodles of limestone/marble chips to put inches of needed limestone/marble stuff on/in my greenhouse floor. Is that cool or what? I tell ya, trying to haul limestone/marble in my poor little Toyota Camry didn't work out so well, lol, .....so now, big drum roll here, I get 6, count em 6, new room floors for New Years Eve. I'm sooooooooo excited. I got some likker too just to make it more fun to tear all this stuff up, put stuff down and work on it and the weather is A OK fine. Life is good Plus, I'm funny as all get out, cause I went venturiing out for 5 hours in the crap pouring rain Sunday to use my $35 off coupons, before they expired 12/28, to buy this stuff, only to find out that the delivery charges were now $65. LOL. Well shit. I got $35 off the delivery, I guess, and I used my little stamp thingies that I saved up to get a $75 place setting of dishes free on the same day they were gonna expire too. Woohoo, now I have 4 place settings of those neato dishes too.

PS, I gotta buncha new tools too. Anybody have any tips on making sure you cut the right amount with a jamb saw? There aren't any instructions with it. I feel sooo stoopid, lol.

 

Thanks MJ, your so smart. I didn't get the power version. didn't think it would be good with likker. Plus, I only have a few door thingies to do and it ain't worth it for like $50 buckeroos per cut. Yeah, I'm cheap and broke and stubborn and stuff. So you have used one of these jamb saws (cool name huh?) before? I'm impressed.

 

Hard whiskie likker and wine. I tell ya, I'm so excited I put jingle bells on the dogs. And reindeer/moose antlers too. They are happy about it too cause they had a wonderful pork/stir fry vegi/otherstuff/vitamins dinn dinn. Anything for homemade food. *snicker* Yeah, I know its sorta early for din din but once its made and cool they are just durn excited pests tell they get it and its the holidays and all.

 

well, I need some design advice

I wanted to do a border thingie in the diningroom but I can't find any border thingie that is the same thickness and I don't want a big bump around the border. The first picture shows what I was thinking of doing. Since I can't do that functionally, I thought I might set it up, in each room, like the second picture. But I don't have differnent tiles on the edges cause I couldn't find any the same exact thickness. *rolleyes* But I still think it might be neat to do something like that with all the same tiles cause the diagonal stuff makes rooms look bigger and the borders, which might be different diameters, in each room, would look rich and cool and stuff and sorta define each room??? (ya think??) OR I could do like the entry in conventional pattern, then a border in the diningroom with diagonals in the center and well, what do you think? LOL. The tile and edging stuff color is shown in the third picture and the colors are REALLY off in the picture cause there is really a bit more contrast and the basic colors are rich and more tan. Anyhoooo, you get the idear I bet. LOL. The last picture shows the drawings for the house. The 5 yellow stickies are the areas being done. The top one is the front door entry and closet. To the right is the diningroom. Below that is the cooking area of the kitchen. Below that the eating area of the kitchen and then below that is the back pantry/entry thingie where my washer and dryer is. What ya think about design ideas? We need to brainstorm here folks. oke:

 

How cool, my puppies are all jingly like santa's reindeers or something!!!!!!!!!!!!! How cute is that. I only had 3 jingles so one doesn't have a bell and he is really miffed. LOL.

 

Cool, MJ fetches crap all day. oke: Can you take down measurments and fetch crap all day iffin we drink? We can take turns. You mix the drinks while I fetch crap and then you fetch crap while I do something or other work. You gotta take down measurements though. It helps iffin you write it down right away. Jon you ain't up to it and I ain't in the mood right now. *snicker* You aren't implying I don't know what the F I'm doing are you? (asshole)
