The tag says yellow, but I wouldn't call it that. It is wonderful though. The foliage is exceptionally beautiful. The top of the spike is 16" above the surface of the media and it should get taller as the spike continues to open its flowers. This year I am beyond the point of just being relieved a habenaria grew and starting to notice the difference in clones within a species. At least for a few species that are doing well. Others are still a challenge.

Marni, I am totally ignorant of this genus. Does this one die back after blooming and need a dry rest? How big are the flowers?
That is a wonderful color but I agree, it isn't quite yellow. Maybe "mango".

Kelly, yes it does die back and go through a dry rest. The flowers are about 1.25" wide and very long lasting.

Thank you Marni, you know better, it is sometimes difficult to track them after rest, crinifera and myriotricha are the other two in my collection. You must be having a host of these species.
