This is my first bloom on this species and I am very pleased. It isn't really growing in the pottery, it is 3 plastic pots tucked in there. The tallest spike is 7" tall.

Thanks Marni, mine bloomed and had 5 flowers on it but only about 5" tall. Interesting grooup of plants.

Oh, that is lovely! The color is amazing. I am assuming this is a fairly recently identified species given that it is named after Erich?

Thanks all. John, most of the other plants of this blooming had shorter spikes. Yes, Eric Christenson described it 2003.
