I purchased this plant last fall from Columbia Orchid Imports and this is its first blooming. It has the blooming spike and 2 others maturing. I'm growing it intermediate, bright shade, year-round water and mounted on tree fern. It established rapidly following the import.

Nice spike. There is an elegance to the presentation in gongoras that I like very much. How is the fragrance?

I have not noticed a fragrance although they are supposed to have one. I'll have to sniff it during the heat of the day. I, too, enjoy Gongoras. Little dragons coming in for the kill. All that is missing is the smoke and fire. I don't like the Acropera nearly as well.
