I've been keeping orchids for around 15 years now, never many at a time, usually less than 30. I have a small collection of mini's and jewels in my greenhouse now, along with some rather stubborn ones that have survived neglect in my backyard for the past 5 years, and am looking to get some more once I have the second greenhouse set up. I also grow a lot of unusual plants (Hoyas, Dischidias, Begonias, Lecanopteris, Huperzia, and epiphytic blueberries). I look forward to learning from all the wonderful people here :)

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you'll be able to post some pictures soon! I'd love to see those epiphytic blueberries.

Welcome, Bonnie! I've seen photos of some of your plants on Dendroboard (where I mostly lurk and learn b/c I have very little to contribute), viewing your posts usually inspires one or more additions to my plant wishlist...

Thanks gnathaniel, nice to know you've enjoyed my pictures :) I probably won't have much to contribute here yet, so I guess I will be joining you in lurking heh

Hi Zach <waves> I guess I shouldn't be too surprised to find you on an orchid forum lol. I got a tiny cutting of a Lita the other month, unfortunately it melted within an hour of me getting it do to being left in a bad spot during a frog meet, hoping to get some more eventually though :(

Yep! I've been here a bit longer than Dendroboard. Researching a terrarium for orchids is what led me to the frogs and both hobbies area very slippery slope. I think you'll like it here. I know I've learned a lot and have gotten to see many species of orchids I didn't even know existed!

I'm sorry to hear about the Begonia. I'm going to try to find a piece in the near future to see how I do with it. It's supposed to be pretty tough even under good conditions.
